The Day

Saturday, July 17, 2027. Golden hour to midnight. Scroll down and the sun goes with you. It sets right in the middle of the party.

6:30 PM · Arrival

Welcome to Newcastle

Doors open at 6:30. Grab something cold, find a seat on the terrace, and look west. We didn't have to do much decorating out here.

7:00 PM · The Ceremony

We Say "I Do"

Short and sweet. We say our vows with Lake Washington, the Seattle skyline and the Olympics behind us. Take all the photos you want while we do it. Our photographer will be working the whole time, so you don't have to feel responsible for getting the shot.

7:30 PM · Cocktail Hour

Drinks on the Lawn

Signature cocktails and passed bites. We're not sneaking off for photos, so we'll be out here with everybody. There's a photo booth if you want something to take home and mini golf if you'd rather settle a score.

8:30 PM · Dinner

Dinner Is Served

Take a seat in the ballroom for a plated dinner. We're still deciding on the final menu, so tell us what you'd like on your RSVP and we'll make sure there's a plate in front of you that you actually want.

9:00 PM · Sunset

The Sun Sets on Seattle

Right on schedule, the sky goes orange. Bring your glass out to the terrace for toasts while the city lights come on. This is the reason we picked July.

9:45 PM · First Dance

Our First Dance

One song, just the two of us. Then the parent dances, and then the floor belongs to everybody. Your song requests from the RSVP start here.

10:00 PM · Cake & Dancing

Cake and the Dance Floor

We cut the cake, you eat the cake, and the dance floor opens for real. The bar stays open the rest of the night, so pace yourself if you're planning on making it to midnight.

12:00 AM · The Send-Off

One Last Song

The band plays us out at midnight and we head through a tunnel of sparklers. Stick around for the end of it. It's worth staying up for.

A few things worth knowing

Good to Know

What to Wear

Garden formal. Suits, with jackets optional once the ceremony is over. Sundresses and summer colors are encouraged. The ceremony is on grass, so block heels will treat you better than stilettos.

July Evenings Here

Figure on about 75° at ceremony time, dropping into the 60s once the sun is down. Bring a light layer for the late hours. The dance floor will handle the rest.

Bring a Camera

Photos are welcome all night, ceremony included. Tag anything you take with #RyanAndTaySayIDo so we can see the night from your side of it.

Getting Home

Parking is free and your car can stay overnight. If you've been at the bar, please leave it there and get a ride. We'd much rather see you at breakfast than worry about you on the drive home.
